Field Sobriety Tests
Field Sobriety Tests are how law
enforcement determine if you
should be brought in on suspicion
of drunk driving. These tests
are used to gather evidence
against possibly impaired
drivers
and to send unimpaired drivers
on
there way.
Generally speaking, if you get asked
to take these tests they think you're a danger
on the road. And they most certainly are gathering evidence. Most
lawyers will tell you not to take them. That you only have to take the breathalyzer test. Most lawyers,
however, aren't with you when you get pulled over. Most lawyers aren't
afraid of legal problems. Most people are. They come along after the fact to tell you how
badly you you've screwed up.
Following are links to the three most common tests.
HGN (Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus) Test
Walk and Turn Test
One Leg Stand Test

When I was arrested for Drunk Driving. (I was very
guilty.) The first thing I wanted was information. And
the first place I looked was the
internet. I wanted to know how bad this was? What could happen to me? Could I get out of this? If
not, how could I minimize the
damage? The folks who let me use these videos may only be able to help you if you're from Michigan but, they
have a super website. It's
a great place to start getting information. They also have links to many drunk driving resources
organized by state.
